Roteiro em Inglês

On 21st March a group of students from EB 2, 3 Vallis Longus went to Serra Cuca Macuca to find out about its geological characteristics.

It was a beautiful sunny day and we were all excited about going trekking. What impressed us most was the fact that in the past the mountain range was under the sea. Can you imagine our city under water? We could see the folds and the fault lines left on the rocks. There were so many traces of erosion in the whole mountain that we were absolutely amazed!

The most common plants were the cork tree, the pine tree and the oak tree, which belong to the Quercus family. Other species include heather and eucalyptus. You can also find many different animals along the trek, such as salamanders and frogs.

Trekking in the mountain was an unforgettable experience, not only because of the landscape, but also because the sounds of nature were simply beautiful!
